About Me

My Painting Life

I began painting when I was 16 after discovering Bob Ross and his “Joy of Painting” episodes. Most of you probably remember Bob from his series on public television (from 1983-1994). For my generation, his episodes made a huge comeback on streaming services like YouTube, Netflix, and Twitch. Watching Bob paint a beautiful landscape in less than 30 minutes inspired me to take my art further than drawing doodles and I’ve never looked back on those days since. In May 2018, I became a Certified Bob Ross Instructor (CRI ®) to teach his method; and what better way to pay homage to your hero than to continue his legacy?

Since then I’ve taught hundreds of students Bob’s method. I’ve even traveled with a select group of certified instructors to teach master classes at the opening of the Bob Ross Museum in Muncie, Indiana and at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History when several of Bob’s paintings were donated there.

I love teaching people how to paint landscapes—Bob Ross style! My goal is to teach to a bigger platform and help spread Bob’s creative energy and joy. I hope to grow and help viewers relax from the stress of everyday life while giving helpful tips for painting with oils. Bob believed that anybody could paint if they picked up a brush and tried. I’m proud to be part of the new generation carrying on his legacy.
